EVA 2.0 — Robotic I-Beam Assembly & Welding Cell (Project)

EVA 2.0 is a compact robotic cell designed for automated fit-up, tack welding, and full welding of welded I-beams. The system operates directly from a 3D model: it measures the real geometry, aligns components, and automatically generates toolpaths—so production runs without manual reprogramming for each beam.

The cell combines laser-based measurement with adaptive welding logic to compensate for typical part tolerances and assembly deviations. A 360° beam rotator ensures consistent access to weld seams and stable welding positions, improving repeatability and overall throughput.
